 At Trademark, we undertake renovations providing "Hands On" Project Management Services
for the consumer to ensure the job is completed diligently and to the exacting
standards required. The Trademark SafeGuard System® eliminates the possible vulnerabilities
which a consumer may encounter when relying on one General Contractor to do the
job.
Unfortunately, as in every industry, there are some bad apples. In the
Construction Industry, these characters are known as underground contractors or tailgaters, many of which
are not licensed, bonded or insured and choose not to adhere to ethical business
practices. Some of the most common tailgater offenses are:
1) Taking substantial advances and not completing the job. 2) Completing the job but
not paying the sub-contractors, leaving the consumer responsible and having to
pay twice. 3) Cutting corners and performing shady workmanship which may not
show up immediately.
There are certainly reputable General Contractors and Renovation Companies in
the marketplace... choosing the right one is most important. The

The Trademark SafeGuard System®
At the conception stage, we offer suggestions and assist you in
putting ideas to paper including plans and specifications. For more complex
projects, we will work with an Architect and/or Designer.
Once the budget, plans, specifications, and necessary permits are in place,
Trademark obtains quotes on your behalf from some of the city's top professional Trades,
Suppliers and Manufacturers (you receive
Trademarks' discounted rates). Together, we discuss each quote and you
choose the ones that you are comfortable with.
We are of the strongest opinion
that in order to achieve the best quality, value and price, each Trade should be
committed job-specific utilizing their forte, versus hiring the "Jack of
all Trades... Master of none" type of operator.
Upon your final selection of quotes, Trademark executes the plan to action,
coordinating, scheduling, managing and overseeing the workflow. Throughout the
process, we are constantly verifying and ensuring that the workmanship and
materials are within the parameters of the plans, specifications and applicable
building codes. As the progress-work invoices come in, Trademark double checks
all aspects relevant to each invoice before approval for your payment. For
additional protection, you pay
the approved invoices directly to the Trades, Suppliers and Manufacturers at
Trademark's discounted prices... no padded invoices, no cut corners and no
advance payments other than special order materials if applicable. Direct
payment of invoices eliminates the possibility of liens which can be placed
against your property due to non payment by a Contractor. We operate strictly on
a cost plus basis, calculated from costs in place relating to the project, plus a
percentage. In many cases, our fees are less than what you have saved by receiving
our discounted Trade, Supplier and Manufacturer rates.
At conclusion of the project, all applicable
Trade, Manufacturer and Supplier warranties are issued directly to you including
Trademark's full one year guarantee.
In summary... we are contracted to manage, coordinate and execute all
aspects of the renovation project while
protecting your best interests, making your vision become a reality.
